Financial & Publication Fee Policy
In order to support the development of academic research, enhance the quality of scholarly outputs, and encourage faculty members and researchers to engage in academic activities, Salam International Academic Journal has developed and implemented a transparent and well-structured financial policy governing the publication of scientific articles.
This policy is formulated in accordance with the principles of academic fairness, financial transparency, and international standards of scholarly publishing, and is organized into three categories.
1. Faculty Members of Salam University
The publication of articles for official and active faculty members of Salam University in Salam International Academic Journal is entirely free of charge.
No fees are charged under any title, including article review, peer review, editing, or publication.
2. Faculty Members Collaborating with Salam University
Faculty members who officially or unofficially collaborate academically with Salam University—including visiting professors, research collaborators, or faculty members introduced by partner institutions—are exempt from publication fees.
For this category of authors:
- No financial incentives or honoraria are provided;
- Publication is carried out solely within the framework of academic and scholarly cooperation.
3. Faculty Members and Researchers Outside Salam University
Faculty members, researchers, and authors who do not have an academic affiliation with Salam University are required to pay an Article Processing Fee (APF) ranging from USD 80 to USD 160 per published article, depending on the number of authors.
This fee:
- Is collected after the final acceptance of the article and prior to publication;
- Has no influence whatsoever on the peer-review process, and all editorial decisions remain fully independent;
- Is used exclusively to cover administrative costs, peer review, editing, layout and typesetting, publication, journal system maintenance, and overall quality enhancement of the journal.
Failure to pay the publication fee in a timely manner may result in the postponement or cancellation of the article’s publication.
4. Principle of Independent Peer Review
Payment or non-payment of publication fees has no impact on the peer-review process, acceptance, or rejection of submitted manuscripts.
All articles are evaluated impartially and professionally in accordance with established scholarly peer-review standards, regardless of the authors’ institutional affiliations.
5. Transparency and Public Accessibility
This financial policy is publicly available on the official website of Salam International Academic Journal and is accessible to all authors.
Any amendments to this policy will be officially announced through the journal’s website.
