Abstract

This paper explores the preservation of Afghan culture during migration, focusing on the associated challenges and opportunities. It defines the concept of migration and investigates the cultural obstacles Afghan migrants typically face, alongside the potential opportunities that arise during displacement. The significance of this study lies in its aim to introduce readers to the cultural challenges experienced by Afghan refugees while also identifying practical solutions.

Afghanistan has witnessed nearly five decades of conflict, resulting in widespread displacement and a significant number of refugees. Migration often involves both internal displacement and cross-border movements. In such contexts, it is inevitable that the cultural identity of migrants is affected in various ways. However, migration also presents certain opportunities that deserve recognition.

To identify and understand these challenges and opportunities, this short study investigates them to a reasonable extent, thereby clarifying the objective of the paper. A library-based research method was employed to achieve this aim. The study involved reviewing a range of books and scholarly articles from various authors and was conducted using a descriptive approach.
